I have been a professional lender for 28 years. After beginning my career in 1990 with a UK Building Society, I moved to Australia where I held several different retail banking roles. In 1999 it became clear to me that a mortgage broker would eventually become an obvious choice for someone looking for a home loan so I took the plunge and became an independent broker and I haven’t looked back!
In my 18 years mortgage broking I have helped arrange too many loans to count but I still love my work because I am able to save people time, effort and money. The role never gets old because each scenario is quite different from the last. I hold a Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking Management and am expert ready to handle even the most complex loan scenario.
I enjoy working especially with first home buyers / first time investors as I feel the experience I have gained over almost 30 years really adds value to the transaction for someone who hasn’t been through the process before. It is highly rewarding to initially deliver the great news to a client they are pre-approved then eventually to share in their journey searching for and purchasing their first home. I make sure my clients are well informed and that I am always available to answer any questions they may have at any stage. Outside of work, Simon has been training and competing in the field of Muay Thai Kickboxing for a number of years and you’ll usually see Simon in one of the local kickboxing gyms with his prestige boxing gloves.
